ReplyDeleteWhile investigating the room where the crime had been committed, Holmes looks around the room and notices the word "RACHE" painted on the wall with blood. The other detectives though that the murderer was going to spell Rachel but Holmes points out that rache in German means revenge. So the killer wanted revenge and he let the detectives know that. And since the word rache was written in blood it elevates the whole situation because it symbolises that the murderer has done what he came there to do and that his mission was accomplished.

ReplyDeleteHe's in awe of him. He thinks Holmes is extremely brilliant, but sometimes he is very strange and does things that are unpredictable. He sometimes can't figure him out, and he is frequently surprised by the things Holmes will say or do that Watson doesn't quite expect of him. He isn't a fan of his living habits as well, he finds them annoying at times. In the end he admires his friend greatly, but sometimes he can get frustrated by him. He respects and loves him as a friend and is willing to take a bullet for him even though he sometimes can be hard to work with.

ReplyDeleteWhile with John Watson I feel that he got some positive and negative things about him. Positive: John Watson has strong ability to empathize with others, strong ability to uphold commitments, well-developed sense of loyalty and desire to protect loved ones, heightened sense of morality/justice, selfless, strong ability to keep calm in the face of danger. But in the other hand with Negative side of him he has this bottle up anger until it is released in outbursts, dislike of receiving pity or sympathy, tendency to exhibit reckless and/or dangerous behavior under the guise of bravery or justice, suspicion/mistrust of the intentions of others. But overall John Watson is mostly mentally stable, although he does have his fair share of negative and positive traits. One of the most interesting, in my opinion, is his desire to put himself in stressful or risky situations in order to gain the pleasure of excitement and he is a great help with Holmes
