                                                           A STUDY IN SCARLET   BY:Manpreet.B

The book "A Study In Scarlet" is an phenomenal book. This book has so many different  turning points to it. It just keeps the reader hooked on. Seeing as it is an Mystery book it does wanna make you keep reading it.

Today i am going to be discussing the main key point in the book that stood out. The word "RACHE".  This is when Sherlock Holmes saw that word written on the wall with blood.  This part stood out to because it indicated that this was left by the murderer of   Enoch Drebber and Joseph Stangerson. The word "RACHE" in german means "revenge" hence it revels to us that it was done on purpose in order to seek revenge. The murderer goes by the name of Jefferson Hope he had come to take revenge of the death of his father and his love Lucy. From there Holmes used a test to determine how old the blood was. The test was called "Sherlock Holmes Test" thus it was Sherlocks innovation. This again is revealing to use that was an remarkable detective Holmes was. In this part of the book  Blood plays a very significance role in novel because the scientist can use it in order to determine further clues that well help solve the case. Sherlock Holmes knew that the blood used to write the word "RACHE" was from a bloody nose of Jefferson Hope. The word "BLOOD" is adding to the story because it is making the reader  more thrilled thus telling use that blood is a main tool for crime investigations and also is a symbol for violence.

Overall i feel this was the most important part in the novel because this was one of the major clues that gave the book a bit more thrill because it had words like "revenge", "blood" hence it had kept the reader wondering. this made you not wanna stop and find out what is really behind the word "RACHE".  So this has been the most important part because that is where the suspense started to build up and make you wonder thus it resulted in me staying attached to the book right till the very end.
